NBA Weekend Fast Break Blog Train
It’s the Weekend Fast Break Blog Train! THE STARTING FIVE:
1. Speaking of fast break, the Raptors balled out in the 2nd half of Sunday night’s 113-104 win over the Lakers. The Raps ran the Lakes out of Staples. Fast break points: Raptors 32, Lakers 8.
No Lowry. No Ibaka. No problem for Toronto! Raptors Reverse Revenge Game on Danny Green.
2. Another Jokic game-winner! The Joker hit an unguardable Dirk one-legged step-back lofty jumper over KAT to lift the Nuggets over the T-Wolves 100-98 in OT. Big Honey’s second game-winner in 3 days. Jokic said in the immediate on court post-game interview that it seems like he can only make the tough shots and with how the night was going, he thought he was going to shoot an air ball but he made it so.. *shrugs*
Also, this game went into overtime and still went way UNDER 219.5.
3. Our Suns are on fire! And they are looking more and more like last year’s Kings: The West surprise team that plays great team ball and has a lot of fun. The Suns ROUTED the Nets 138-112. And it wasn’t even that close. Next up for the Suns: the Lakers on Tuesday night in Phoenix!
4. Portland defeated Atlanta in OT at Moda on Sunday night — the Blazers were last team to (finally) get a win at home. Kent Bazemore Revenge Game! If you had the Hawks +9 and the Under, you were looking great until OT fucked ya up real good.
5. It’s official, we owe Hamidou Diallo an apology for failing to note him as a power dunker on OKC’s season preview.
The regular Blog Train will be back up and running tomorrow night. We love this game!
