11-20-19 NBA Blog Train Wednesday: 11 Games
Spurs at Wizards +2 OVER 237.5
Spurs -2 was a Pseudo Lock. Thankfully, we stayed away because we have Blue Panda in fantasy. We really have learned from our lessons!
Wizards 138, Spurs 132.
Welp, the Spurs have lost 7 straight and are 5-10 on the season. The only team behind San Antonio in the standings: Golden State. Winter is coming.
The Wiz shot a scintillating 60 percent from three-point land, 18 of 30. Five different Wizards made three or more 3s: Beal, Bertans, IT, Ish Smith and Moey V.
THE WIZARDS GET INTO SOME HIGH SCORING AFFAIRS.

Knicks +12.5 at 76ers OVER 210.5
Knicks +12.5 would have been a Pure Lock. The Knicks, for all of their faults, still play hard. They give a damn. They were in this game all night and even led by 6 points with 10 minutes left in the 4th.
Under 210.5 would have been a bad beat!!! Marcus Morris drilled a three with 1.4 seconds left!
76ers 109, Knicks 104.
Frankie Smokes scored 17 points, tying the 2nd most of his career.
Marcus Morris and Embiid got into a tiff, because, of course.
Ben Simmons hit a three!? It’s true.
Cue the KG gif: “ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE!!!!!!!!!”

Magic at Raptors -3 OVER 207
Toronto -3 at home vs. Orlando was a Pure Lock and a Coach’s Pick! Sometimes we have to stand by our picks even if Coach agrees.
Under 207 would have been a bad beat! 208 total points.
Raptors 111, Magic 97.
Vooch and Aaron Gordon both sprained their right ankles in the first half and did not return. :/
Terence Davis is probably the best player you don’t know much about. An undrafted rookie from Ole Miss, a 4-year college guy. The Raptors are deep AF.
New Segment Alert: “WHO HE?!”
Magic:
Josh Magette: 6-1 white dude #4 — lefty. Pronounced: Mah-jet. A 29-year-old veteran G-leaguer from Alabama-Huntsville.
Melvin Frazier Jr.: 6-5 #35 2nd year shooting guard from Tulane.
Raptors:
Oshae Brissett: 6-7 #12 — hit a corner three. Rookie from Syracuse. College basketball fans, do y’all know this man?
Malcolm Miller: 6-7 #13 2nd year guy from Holy Cross.
Dewan Hernandez: 6-10 #20 rookie from Miami.
Yeah, we only have time to watch the pro basketballin.

Bucks at Hawks +11 OVER 232.5
The Hawks led by 3 at halftime. The Bucks blew it open in the 3rd, outscoring Atlanta by 16, but the Hawks didn’t give up and scored a whopping 44 points in the 4th to cover the spread.
Bucks 135, Hawks 127.
De’Andre Hunter’s best game a pro: 27 points on 8 of 12 shooting (3 of 3 from three!), 11 rebounds and 2 assists in 29 minutes. We see you, rook!

Cavaliers at Heat -10 OVER 213.5
Heat -10 would have been a Pure Lock, Miami led big from the jump. (A lot of Pure Locks out there tonight!)
Heat 124, Cavs 100.
Duncan Robinson scored 29 points on 9 of 15 shooting and all 9 of 15 were three-pointers! Apparently (per @WorldWideWob) an assistant coach on the Cavs was caught Googling “Dante Robinson” during the game… lolol.
The Heat now have six wins by 15 or more points. That’s a lot of Pure Locks. [Insert drool emoji here]

Hornets at Nets -4.5 UNDER 219
We were interested in Over 219 and then said, “No thanks,” when we took a look at the Nets starting lineup.
Nets 101, Hornets 91.
Way UNDER. (Another Pure Lock.)
Monk had a SLICK up-and-under.

Warriors at Mavericks -14.5 OVER 216
Looking at the score to this game throughout it’s duration was like looking directly into the sun. #blinding
Mavs 142, Warriors 94.
No Draymond. No D-Lo. No Steph. No Klay. (No Iggy. No Livingston. No KD.)
The Warriors really are paying the ultimate price.
Yet another triple-double for Luka Magic: 35 points, 11 assists and 10 rebounds. It’s about to become surprising if he doesn’t get a trip-dub.

Pistons at Bulls +1 UNDER 222.5
Pistons at a Pick ‘Em was a Coach’s Pick that we advised against! We GOTTA start fading those. Just like we talked about.
Bulls 109, Pistons 89.
Markkanen finally got going in his best game of the season! 24 points on 14 shots and 3 made threes. The Baby Bulls need more of it as apparently Otto Porter Jr. will miss at least two more weeks with a bone bruise in his left foot. :/

Jazz -3 at T-Wolves UNDER 223
UNDER 223 was the lock of the night! JAZZ UNDERS ARE BACK!!! Whoop whoop!!
Jazz 103, T-Wolves 95.
Don Mitch did RoCo dirty.
Yeah. DIRTY.

Rockets at Nuggets -1 UNDER 221.5
We got the Rockets in at +2 and it was looking good early, but then Denver went on a 13-0 first quarter run and never looked back, turning this one into an Anti-Lock.
The Nuggets dictated the pace (SLOW) throughout. Denver is dead last in the league in Pace. Houston is 3rd, but Denver controlled them with stifling transition defense.
The 14 three-pointers attempted by the Rockets in the 1st half were a season low.
Nuggets 105, Rockets 95.
The Nuggets offense is catching up to the Nuggets defense which is totally reverse of how it used to be.
Clint Capela became the first player to record 5 straight 20-rebound games since Ben Wallace in 2002-2003.
Something to monitor: When the Rockets play a team with a really slow pace. And on the road.

Celtics +7 at Clippers UNDER 217
Clippers -7 was a Pseudo Lock. Almost a Comeback Lock but not quite. You know we had to bet on the Clippers in the first game (finally) with Kawhi and Paul George.
This one went Under even though it went into Overtime!
Clippers 107, Celtics 104. OT
Kawhi put poor Daniel Theis on a poster.
This one was definitely more poster than power.
Tatum dropped PG and hit the clutch 3 to send this baby to OT!
We were PUMPED about Overtime, thinking that Clippers -7 still had a chance, which it DID: Clippers were up 5 in OT with 44 seconds left! (Before OT, we though NO CHANCE when the Clips were down 10 with 6 minutes left in the 4th quarter and also down 6 with 2:39 in regulation.)
Big K game saving block. Business as usual. All business.
This man really don’t give a fuck. That’s a big part of what makes him the best in the game (RN).
…
Oh man. Just realized something.
We have Jaylen Brown in fantasy. No wonder the Clippers didn’t cover!!! Guess we haven’t learned from that lesson after all.
*big sigh*
