11-19-19 NBA Blog Train Tuesday: 4 Games

An argument from within: This site is becoming more of just The Ramblings of a Gambling Mans.

Counter: We took the night off. And yet here we are.

No bets. No action.

Blog Train:

Warriors +6 at Grizzlies UNDER 221.5

Warriors +6 woulda been the Lock of the night! Ha, just because we weren’t in on the action doesn’t mean that we weren’t keeping an eye on things.

Warriors 114, Grizzlies 95.

The Warriors snapped a 7-game losing streak which is a crazy thing to write.

Blazers at Pelicans -3 UNDER 231.5

With Dame out (just the 24th missed game in Dame’s 8-year career) and with Melo in the starting lineup (!!), it is astonishing that we were able to resist taking the UNDER which would have been a Pure Lock.

Pelicans 115, Blazers 104.

Mel00’s performance after an entire year off was about what we expected. We LOVE the 00, but it would be SO much better if Kanter wasn’t just wearing it last spring. There should be a rule that you can’t wear the same number that somebody had the year before.

Regardless of what happened tonight or what happens going forward, the NBA is simply more fun with Melo in it. #facts

Suns at Kings -3 OVER 219

We seriously considered the Suns +3, because:

  • A. We always bet against the Fox-less and Bagley-less Kings. (Much to our wallets dismay.)

  • B. The Suns seemed due for a bounce back after losing yesterday to the Celtics who had bounced back from losing to the Kings the day before.

We stayed away, because:

  • A. We always lose when we bet the spread on Kings games. (We have learned from our lessons! #growth)

  • B. Baynes was Questionable (he didn’t play) which throws a wrench into who the Suns are this year.

  • C. Bogdan Bogdanovic. We still have Bogey in fantasy and knew he would light it up.

Kings 120, Suns 116.

Bogey sure enough had a career-high 31 points on a sparkling 11 of 14 shooting and 7 of 9 from three!

Thunder +11 at Lakers OVER 209.5

We had two Coach’s Picks for this game! Lakers -11 and Over 209.5, so Coach would have split and lost some fees. Glad we stayed away, because we were going to fade that Over and go Under again, which would have burned us AGAIN.

We are staying away from Kings and Lakers games indefinitely.

Lakers 112, Thunder 107.

Best record in the NBA? Lake Show, baby. 12-2.
