11-12-19 NBA Blog Train Lite Tuesday

The STARTING FIVE:

1.

Lakers at Suns was everything we hoped it would be! Which is also to say that it was the complete opposite of what we thought it would be before the season started. The Suns are no longer the punching bag of the Western Conference. Tonight, they gave the best team in the league (right now) a run for their money.

Kuuuuuuuuuuuz was a killa off the bench, the X-factor and difference maker with 23 points on 9 of 16 shooting and some big-time shots. We don’t know about that hair, but we love to see Kuz back to ballin’.

2.

Ice Trae is HERE.

We tried to tell y’all about Ice Trae and our baby Hawks! It’s not like the Nuggets have been playing their best ball, but this was a testament win for the Hawks to go into Denver without Collins, and Huerter left the game with an injury, too. DeAndre’ Bembry is criminally underrated. Not including Bembry in our Hawks season preview is one of our biggest regrets so far.

3.

Coby White set an NBA rookie record with 7 made threes in the 4th quarter of the Bulls 120-102 thumping of the Knicks. Roy Williams was in the house and Coby said in his immediate post-game interview that he wishes his college coach could come to more games cause it’s been a while since he shot like that.

The Knicks are now (2-9) which ties the franchise record for the most losses through 11 games to start the season.

4.

The Portland Trail Blazers are in serious trouble. Not only do they owe us money (again!) for another Anti-Lock, but they need to make a move in the worst way to get Dame and CJ some help. After losing to the Fox-less and Bagley-less Kings, it’s clear that the current state of the Blazers roster, which has been decimated by injuries, just ain’t going to cut it in the West. Let’s get the Rooster to Portland already!

For Sacramento, Bogdan Bogdanovic had a stellar game off the bench with 25 points, 10 assists, 4 steals and 3 rebounds in 32 minutes. The Kings will need more of that from Bogey with Fox out 3 to 4 weeks with a left ankle sprain.

5.

R.I.P. Jazz UNDERS. Gone but not forgotten.

10/23 Thunder at Jazz — UNDER 221.5 , 195 total

10/25 Jazz at Lakers — UNDER 215.5 , 181 total

10/26 Kings at Jazz — UNDER 221 , 194 total

10/28 Jazz at Suns — UNDER 213.5 , 191 total

10/30 Clippers at Jazz — UNDER 216 , 206 total

11/01 Jazz at Kings — UNDER 214.5 , 203 total

11/03 Jazz at Clippers — UNDER 215 , 199 total

11/06 76ers at Jazz — OVER 209 , 210 total

11/08 Bucks at Jazz — UNDER 217.5 , 203 total

11/11 Jazz at Warriors — OVER 211 , 230 total

11/12 Nets at Jazz — OVER 220 , 233 total

Jazz UNDERS won us hundreds, but it felt like millions. #freemoney #seeyouagain
