10-30-19 Wednesday NBA Blog Train: 11 Games

We are hitting some Halloween Eve one-liners while following up on last night’s outlook.

Knicks (1-3) at Magic (1-2)A very low Over/Under at 208.5 and we like the UNDER.

The UNDER hit in a very big way. Magic 95, Knicks 83. A total of 178 points.

Bulls (1-3) at Cavs (1-2) — Jim Boylen vs. John Beilein, gotta go with Boylen here, right?

Nope! Beilein over Boylen. Cavs 117, Bulls 111. Collin Sexton had a sick power dunk with 30 secs left.

T-Wolves (3-0) at 76ers (3-0)Battle of the Undefeated. Wolves are +6.5?!

In case you live under a rock: Embiid and KAT got into quite the scuffle and both were ejected. The feud later continued on social media between the two 7-footers. 76ers 117, T-Wolves 95. Philly steamrolled. Set your calendars accordingly for Tuesday, March 24th 2020: The JoJo—KAT rematch.

Pacers (0-3) at Nets (1-2)Nets -3.5 feels like a lock.

Nets -3.5 was NOT a lock. Pacers 118, Nets 105. Brooklyn had 19 turnovers to Indiana’s 5. The Nets defense was putrid. The Pacers were due for their first win despite Myles Turner playing only 10 minutes, leaving the game after rolling his ankle like Trae last night. Sabonis took over.

Bucks (2-1) at Celtics (2-1)Bucks -2.5 feels like a lock.

Bucks -2.5 was a lock, Bucks led by 19, but the Celtics owned the 2nd half: 74 to 47. Celtics 115, Bucks 105. Brad Stevens RODE the starters in this one.

Pistons (2-2) at Raptors (3-1)Pistons +8.5 feels like a lot for another Dwane Casey Revenge Game.

This was not another Dwane Casey revenge game. Raptors 125, Pistons 113. Siakam’s third 30-point game of this young season.

Blazers (2-2) at Thunder (1-3)UNDER 223 feels like a lock.

UNDER 223 was a Pure Lock! Blazers 102, Thunder 99. This O/U line moved to 221.5 before game time — are we moving Vegas lines already?

Rockets (2-1) at Wizards (1-2)O/U at 230.5 seems like a lot, but it’s the Rockets.

This was the 3rd most points scored in NBA History in a regulation game. Rockets 159, Wizards 158. A total of 317 points! Harden had 59.

James Harden:

Work. Every single day. I fell in love wit it. I fell in love with working hard and mastering the game and trying to be the best person that I can be while I’m playing at a high level. The work don’t stop. You can’t expect to be great if you don’t put the work in. It’s an every day process. Even when things are going bad, when I was shooting the ball bad, well, I’m still shooting the ball bad, but I’m in the gym still. You can do everything right and the end results just don’t work out your way. You gotta keep pushing.

“I didn’t know if he was going to the rim or to Mississippi.”

Hornets (1-3) at Kings (0-4)The Kings are -7 but the Hornets have looked better in every game.

Hornets +7 was the lock of the night! Hornets 118, Kings 111. We also cashed in on OVER 223.5 points. We love the Hornets! We’ve already watched way more Hornets basketball than we thought we would this year. Hornets appreciation post coming soon? Maybe! The Kings are now 0-5 for the first time since 1990. Luke Walton might not be sitting down too much cause shoooo weeeee that seat is HOT.

Clippers (3-1) at Jazz (3-1) Clippers +1.5 points is enticing and so is UNDER 216 points.

No Kawhi. We warned y’all about Load Management. The O/U line didn’t really move after the Kawhi news, so we knew that UNDER 216.5 was a LOCK. Jazz 110, Clippers 96. Mike Conley finally got going, 18 points in the 3rd quarter.

Suns (2-2) at Warriors (1-2)O/U at 229 is a lot lot. Warriors -5 feels iffy. Times have sure changed.

It was the worst 1st quarter deficit for Golden State in franchise history and somehow it got much, much worse. In the 3rd quarter, Steph broke his left hand while landing from a scary fall. :/ Suns 121, Warriors 110. It’s still October and this already feels very much like a lost season for the Warriors. It sucks. But it will be cool when they get LaMelo.

Only three games tomorrow night on Halloween:

Heat (3-1) -6 vs. Hawks (2-2) O/U 216.5 — A rematch of Tuesday night, but no Trae Young for its entirety. Total points scored on Tuesday night was 209…

Nuggets (3-1) vs. Pelicans (0-4) — No lines on this one yet, waiting on Jrue’s status.

Spurs (3-0) vs. Clippers (3-1) -5 O/U 225.5 — Clippers are on the 2nd night of a back-to-back and get a rested Kawhi back.

Happy Halloween!

We love this game!
