02-24-20 NBA Blog Train Monday

The Blog Train’s triumphant return with eight games on Monday night.

We hope you took the points and the Over tonight as 7 of 8 went Over!

Hawks at 76ers -8.5 Over 241

Embiid’s career-high 49 points buried the Hawks.

76ers 129, Hawks 112.

Embiid looks so much better without Simmons out there.. Simmons has been ruled out indefinitely…

Bucks at Wizards +13 OVER 243

Blue Panda Power dunk! Level 3?

coach-bud-another-lol.jpg

Yet another classic Coach Bud face.

Giannis fouled out in the 4th, so Khris Middleton took over for the Bucks, scoring 40 points on the night. Middleton loves to torch the Wiz.

Troy Brown Jr. had a great look at a potential game-tying three at the OT buzzer, but she did not fall. Pat Conno and DiVincenzo’s faces should give you an accurate idea of how close it was.

Bucks 137, Wizards 134. OT

The Wiz did not win (again) but Brad Beal scored 50+ for the second straight game, piling up a career-high 55 points. Some people thought Blue Panda wasn’t an All-Star? For the record, we had Brad Beal as an All-Star starter.

Heat at Cavs +6.5 OVER 221.5

Tonight was a complete 180 for KPJ from Saturday night in Miami when he shot 0 for 5 from the field — from not making a field goal, to a career-high 30 points!

Cavs 125, Heat 119. OT

The Cavs outscored the Heat 31 to 12 in the 4th quarter and rode that momentum into overtime, avenging Saturday night’s loss.

Jimmy Butler did not play for personal reasons. We can only assume he was in LA today for Kobe’s memorial. The Heat missed Jimmy Buckets’ clutchness.

Magic +4 at Nets Over 213

Nets bench mob in nice synchronization. Somebody tell Wob!

Magic 115, Nets 113.

It was a tale of two halves for the Magic who had 41 points at halftime before dropping 74 points in the second half.

Knicks +12 at Rockets Over 235

Russ and Harden were in LA today but flew back to Houston in time for the game.

Touch pass of the year?

Rockets 123, Knicks 112.

Clyde: “Harden is not given enough credit for his sagacity of the game.” We agree.

BAD BEAT ALERT!!! Damyean Dotson knocked down a garbage time 3-pointer with 12.4 seconds left to give the Knicks a backdoor cover and to give anybody and everybody who had Rockets -12 a BAD BEAT.

Timberwolves at Mavericks -13 OVER 239

THJ poster power dunk! Level 2.5?

Mavs 139, T-Wolves 123.

The Mavs scored 81 points in the first half.

Suns +8.5 at Jazz OVER 224

Kelly power dunk over Gobert! A Level 3 here?

Suns 131, Jazz 111.

Rick Rubio Revenge Game: 22 points, 11 assists, 7 steals and 6 rebounds for the Spanish Maestro in his return to Utah.

Grizzlies at Clippers -11 Under 235

Kawhi left handed power dunk! Level 3.5?

Clippers 124, Grizz 97.

It’s time for your favorite segment, WHO HE!? Tonight we have #7 for the Clippers, Amir Coffey. WHO HE!? Amir Coffey is a 6-7 rookie from Minnesota. Tonight marked his 7th NBA game. His NBA debut was on New Year’s Eve. Coffey’s Twitter handle is quite stellar: @coffeyshop_

We also have #9 for the Grizz, Dusty Hannahs… WHO HE!? Gerald Ellis Hannahs III is a 26-year-old 6-3 guard from Arkansas and this is his second year in the league. On a 10-day contract with the Grizzlies for a second time now, tonight was the third NBA game of Hannahs’ career.
