02-25-20 NBA Blog Train Tuesday

Seven games on the Tuesday night menu.

The Blog Train rolls on!

Hornets at Pacers -11.5 Under 208.5

Jakarr Sampson power dunk! Level 2.7?

Turner finished with EIGHT blocks on the night and had four in the first quarter! Eric Collins: “Myles Turner with more rejections than Harvard Law school.”

Pacers 119, Hornets 80.

The Pesky Pacers were a Pure Lock, a remarkable turnaround from the 46-point beatdown the Raptors handed them on Sunday. The biggest Pacers lead tonight was 43. You know, just an 89-point swing.

It’s time for another double episode of our favorite segment! Joe Chealey, #31 for the Hornets… WHO HE?! A 6-3 point guard and four-year college player at College of Charleston, Chealey played in his third career NBA game tonight after signing a 10-day contract with the Hornets on 02/21/20. Chealey was on a two-way contract last year with the Hornets and played a lot of G League.

Brian Bowen II, #10 for the Pacers with the big hair… WHO HE?! Bowen is a 6-6 rookie from Louisville with the nickname Tugs listed on his Basketball-Reference page. Tonight was Tugs fourth game of the season.

Bucks +1 at Raptors UNDER 232.5

Everything about this is absolutely fantastic.

Chris Boucher put-back power dunk! Level 4??

Bucks 108, Raptors 97.

The Raptors started the game in control, but the Bucks outscored the Raps in the 3rd quarter 34 to 19 and did not look back.

The Bucks were on the second night of a back-to-back, playing in Toronto, and on National Television, so UNDER 232.5 was a Pure Lock.

During the game, we wondered what ever happened to Cliff Paul? He’s in witness protection, Bird says.

Thunder at Bulls +7.5 OVER 219.5

bulls-bench-3.jpg

Bulls injured bench gang!

They brought out the 3 goggles! For who? Coby White, who was having a night: 6 of 9 from three, 13 of 21 from the field, good for 35 points and a little NBA history.

Nice job, rook!

Zach LaVine was having himself a night, too, his sixth 40+ game of the season, 41 points, albeit on 35 shots. LaVine hit some big threes to pull the Bulls back in late. Alas, he also took some errant shots late late that did not put the Bulls in the best position to win. Dude, you can get better looks! Seems like we have mentioned that before…

Thunder 124, Bulls 122.

OKC has won 9 straight games on the road and 13 out of their last 16 games.

Pistons at Nuggets -13.5 Under 213.5

Gary Harris poster power dunk! Level 3.3?

Nuggets 115, Pistons 98.

BAD BEAT ALERT!!! Christian Wood missed his second free throw with 10.8 seconds left which meant that Donta Hall’s dunk with 6.0 seconds left brought the total to 213 instead of 214. Fuckin’ Vegas.

Speaking of Donta Hall… WHO HE!? #42 for the Pistons, Hall is a 6-9 rookie from Alabama. Tonight was Hall’s NBA debut after signing a 10-day contract with the Pistons on 02/22/20. Per ESPN.com, Hall has been down in the G League, averaging 15.4 points per game for the Grand Rapids Drive.

Shout out Jerami Grant who scored a game-high 29 points on 12 of 15 shooting in 29 minutes off the bench.

Celtics -7.5 at Blazers Over 222.5

Dame and Kemba both sat out their third straight games. It had been too long since we had some fashion on the blog.

Celtics 118, Blazers 106.

All-Star Jayson Tatum continues to dominate: 36 points on 14 of 22 shooting and a career-high 8 of 12 from three. He has either taken or is taking the leap!

Another BAD BEAT ALERT!!! Anfernee Simons was fouled with 16 seconds left during supreme garbage time. The score at the time was 118 to 104, 222 total points with the Over/Under at 222.5, so you know that Simons knocked down both free throws.

KCP power dunk! WOOOO!!! Level 2.8 cause it’s KCP!?

Another LeBron power dunk. Level 3?

Caruso power block on Lonzo!

At this point, it just became a Bron dunkathon. The King finished with a season-high 41 points.

Lakers 118, Pelicans 109.

The Lakers are now 38-0 when taking a lead into the 4th quarter and 18-0 when LeBron scores 30+ points.

Zion has scored 20+ points in nine consecutive games.

Kings -7.5 at Warriors UNDER 223

Marquese Chriss power oop! Level 3.5?

Harrison Barnes Revenge Game.

Kings 112, Warriors 94.
