12-06-19 NBA Blog Train Friday: 10 Games

Welcome to the NBA Blog Train!

Ten games on Friday night means ten game capsules:

Pacers at Pistons +1.5 UNDER 212

Vintage Blake baseline power dunk!

Pistons 108, Pacers 101.

The Pistons points by quarter was a rollercoaster: 32, 23, 16, 37. Detroit closed the game on a 14-4 run as D-Rose led the charge with 10 points in the 4th quarter.

This was the last Pacers-Pistons game of the season and it’s December 6th.

Detroit takes the season series 3-1.

Magic -5 at Cavs UNDER 210

Cavs +5 would have been a bad beat with D.J. Augustin making a free throw with 12.5 seconds left. But we would not recommend taking the Cavs in the first place..

The Cavs wore the jerseys that looked a lot like the Pacers. We are not a fan.

Magic 93, Cavs 87.

The difference was free throws: Magic 20 of 23. Cavs 7 of 10.

The Magic get into some low scoring affairs!

Nets -3 at Hornets UNDER 219

We thought about taking another Hornets Over. Hornets could not go Under three straight games at home, right?

Wrong! We were actually kicking ourselves in the 1st quarter which finished well on pace with 61 combined points. But then we were breathing a sigh of relief as the wheels fell off in the 4th quarter yet again.

Nets 111, Hornets 104.

Joe Harris Game: 22 points on 8 of 13 shooting and 6 of 8 from three.

Brooklyn is now a perfect 6-0 on Fridays.

Timberwolves at Thunder -4 OVER 218

Ah yes, this one had about as crazy of an ending as you’ll see.

1.1 seconds left, T-Wolves up 121-119 with KAT at the free throw line.

KAT missed the first free throw and Ryan Saunders subbed in Jordan Bell who walked onto the court with his jersey untucked. Who noticed and snitched on Bell? Chris Paul, but of course. A player entering the game with an untucked jersey is a delay of game. Two delay of game penalties results in a technical foul and one free throw. This was, of course, the T-Wolves second delay of game penalty.

Gallo knocked down his technical free throw.

Then Towns tried to miss his second free throw but he made it which allowed this to happen:

What a pass!!!

Thunder 139, T-Wolves 127. OT

As you can imagine, OKC had ALL of the momentum in OT. After struggling on offense recently, SGA had a very efficient 29 points on 8 of 13 shooting which included 9 points in overtime.

Wizards +9.5 at Heat UNDER 228.5

The Wizards were winning by 11 in the second quarter and we suggested live betting the Heat. We totally should have jumped on it!

Heat 112, Wizards 93.

Another triple-double for Jimmy Butler (28/11/11), his second of the week.

Miami remains undefeated at home.

Warriors +4.5 at Bulls UNDER 215

There were some seriously indecisive and ugly crunch time possessions for both teams in this one.

Bulls down 2 with 13 seconds left, LaVine (of course) went for the walk-off contested 3… Nope.

Warriors 100, Bulls 98.

Golden State has been on the road for 24 of the last 33 days, playing the most road games in the NBA. But now the Warriors are coming home! It’s a good thing, too, because Bob Fitzgerald said he is out of clean clothes!

Nuggets at Celtics -3.5 UNDER 205.5

This Jaylen Brown power dunk was immediately followed by a Tatum 3 to end the 3rd quarter. The J-Team!

We thought the roof was going to pop off the top of the Garden.

Celtics 108, Nuggets 95.

Same as two weeks ago, Celtics-Nuggs went Under.

Three-pointers: Celtics 13 of 35. Nuggets 5 of 30.

Jokic had a big ass bruise on his arm.

Clippers at Bucks -4.5 UNDER 233.5

Giannis celebrated his birthday in style with…

A power poster dunk on Zubac. (LOL @ Kawhi’s face)

Bucks 119, Clippers 91.

And with another BLOWOUT.

Giannis is… 25. As in, 25 years old. The league is trembling!

_____________________________________

Kings +4.5 at Spurs UNDER 214.5

The Spurs closed the 4th quarter on an 11-2 run and Belli hit the game-tying three to send the game to OT!

Mamma mia!!

Spurs 105, Kings 104. OT

This one went Under despite going into OT. We have seen several of those recently!

Winter is coming!

Lakers -5 at Blazers OVER 225

Tonight was the night. With our 7-game Lakers hiatus FINALLY behind us, we got back in on the action with Lakers -4.5. It was our only bet of this fine Friday night and it was the only one we needed, because it was a PURE Lock and the Lock of the night!

#brotherhood #bananaboat

A power dunk from the Brow! AD had a few dunks in this one.

Yo LeBron and Caruso seriously have a tight synergy going on.

She was soo happy. :-)

Lakers 136, Blazers 113.

11 straight road wins for the Lakers. Third time this season that LeBron and AD combined for 70.

Rodney Hood hurt his left ankle (turned out to be a torn Achilles, ugh) and Whiteside… well, let’s let Twitter tell ya what Hassan did:

Twitter remains undefeated.

We love this game!
