12-03-19 NBA Blog Train Tuesday: 7 Games
Pistons -3.5 at Cavs OVER 216.5
Pistons -3.5 would have been a Pure Lock. We thought about it, but we don’t trust the Pistons who were 1-9 on the road coming into this game.
Pistons 127, Cavs 94.
Detroit is now 2-9 away from Little Caesar’s Arena.
Drummond got his 15 points (17) but was 1 rebound shy of his 15 boards.

Magic PK at Wizards OVER 229.5
We sure thought about taking this Over after the Under burned us the last time these two played on the Scary Sunday of November 17th. They went Over again!
Magic 127, Wizards 120.
This was the second time this season that the Magic have scored over 120 points. The other occurrence was, of course, in the aforementioned game against the Wizards.
The Wizards still get into some high scoring affairs!!!

Heat +5.5 at Raptors OVER 212
Jimmy Butler (after a transition dunk and taking over in Overtime):
“Oh shit! Oh shit!!! OH SHIT!!!!!”
Heat 121, Raptors 110. OT
The Heat are showing us what they are capable of. In the upper class of the East. The only team to beat the Bucks in Milwaukee and now the only team to beat the Raptors in Toronto.
Jimmy Butler after the game:

Mavericks -4.5 at Pelicans UNDER 233.5
Mavs -4.5 was our Lock of the night! Only a slight hiccup in the 2nd quarter when the Pellies grabbed an 11-point lead. But then Luka found a groove and the Mavs rolled.
Mavs 118, Pels 97.
Luka after the game (with a smile and a shrug):

Rockets at Spurs +7 OVER 234
This game was absolutely bananas.
First, there was this Harden dunk that did not count.
The ball went through the net. That is a basket where we come from.
Later, the Rockets led by 16 going into the 4th quarter. That’s when Houston was outscored by Lonnie Walker. Yes, Lonnie Walker scored 19 points in the 4th quarter!
Lonnie Walker power dunk!
Lonnie Walker gutsy game-tying 3 that sent the game to OT! Ddid we get confirmation on if he borrowed Klay’s flamethrower?
Spurs 135, Rockets 133. 2OT
Down the stretch, it became Charge City in San Antonio, and that was the difference. Along with Harden’s dunk/no dunk that did not count.
Harden scored 50 points and set an NBA record making all 24 of his free throws. However, The Beard shot just 11 of 38 from the field and 4 of 20 from three. And Russ shot 7 of 30. Daryl Morey’s efficiency machine is not happy.
Winter is coming.
OMG what if… what if Lonnie Walker is the Ice Dragon?
Gulp.

Lakers +2.5 at Nuggets UNDER 208
The fact that the Lakers were underdogs is a true testament to how good the Nuggets are, especially at the Pepsi Center. But there is no doubt that we would have taken the Lakers and won some green if not for our hiatus. Only one more game until we are back, baby!
The Bald Eagle! Air Caruso put-back power dunk!
Lakers 105, Nuggets 96.
The Lakers were a Solid Lock tonight because of their talk about not wanting to lose two games in a row all season. Can’t lose the first one after you say that.

Trail Blazers at Clippers -9 UNDER 233
It turns out that the Clippers are, in fact, not the Bulls.
Clippers 117, Blazers 97.
We need to research the number of nationally televised games that go Under, because it sure seems like a lot.
In the latest episode of WHO HE!? We have two Clippers!
Derrick Walton Jr. #10. 6-0 rookie from Michigan.
Mfiondu Kabengele. #25. 6-9 rookie from Florida State.
We are still learning the lesser known new rookies. We are serious when we say that we do not watch any college ball.

10 games ahead on the Wednesday night slate, including Heat-Celtics and Lakers-Jazz. We love this game!
