11-27-19 NBA Blog Train Thanksgiving Eve: 14 Games

Gobble gobble gobblin!

Blog Train still out here rollin.

Magic PK at Cavaliers OVER 209.5

The difference was turnovers. The careless Cavs had 25 to the Magic’s 11.

Magic 116, Cavs 104.

Evan Fournier dropped a game-high 30 points.

Jazz at Pacers -1 OVER 208

Pacers Reverse Revenge Game on Bogdanovic!

Pacers 121, Jazz 102.

Bogdanovic did have 30 points, but the Pesky Pacers spoiled his return nonetheless behind 20+ points each from Brogdon, Sabonis and T.J. Warren.

There was some serious air guitar action from the fans in the 4th quarter on the Air Guitar Cam.

Nets at Celtics -8.5 OVER 214

Kyrie was a no show. Kemba scored 39 points and almost bowled over Kenny Atkinson.

The “KYRIE SUCKS” chants were very loud.

Celtics 121, Nets 110.

Brooklyn three-pointers: 21 of 56! Garrett Temple was 6 of 12, Joe Harris 5 of 9 and Taurean Prince 4 of 10.

Kings +9.5 at 76ers UNDER 211

We had a Deadman *call me* three! (Autocorrect always turns Dedmon into Deadman, so we leave it sometimes.)

76ers 97, Kings 91.

Embiid scored! He went from 0 points on Monday night to 33 tonight.

Free throws: Kings 4 of 9. 76ers 20 of 24.

Pistons at Hornets +3.5 UNDER 215

We were skeptical with Zeller out (seriously, he does a lot of the little things for our beloved Hornets) and we wondered about a Detroit Revenge Game after Monk’s buzzer beater two weeks ago, but Biz answered the call!

P.J. Washington threw down a power dunk (lite).

Hornets 102, Pistons 101.

Another close Hornets game. We fucking love it, especially with Eric Collins on the call. (Collins also had the pleasure of announcing the outstanding Stephen F. Austin upset OT buzzer-beater over Duke in Cameron Indoor last night.)

Drummond got his 15 boards (21) but just missed his 15 points (14).

The Hornets have now won 8 straight games against the Pistons, and these two square off again Friday night in Detroit.

Knicks at Raptors -9.5 OVER 211

Dude. Siakam is dialing in his 3-ball (5 of 8) and he just keeps getting better and better. We heard the MVP chants in Scotiabank Arena!

Raptors 126, Knicks 98.

The Raptors have now won 15 of the last 16 games against the Knicks. Toronto is also 8-0 at home.

The Raptors are the best three-point shooting team in the NBA right now at 39.3% (coming into this game) and that’s only going to go up after this 51.2 percent (21 of 41) performance.

Hawks +14.5 at Bucks UNDER 239.5

Jabari Parker tried his damnedest for this to be his Revenge Game: 33 points, 14 rebounds, 2 steals and 1 block. We will overlook the 5 turnovers (we didn’t) because we love the fantasy points. Thanks Jabari!

Bucks 111, Hawks 102.

The Hawks have covered both games against the Bucks this season.

Clippers at Grizzlies +6 OVER 226.5

We had a barn burner in Memphis. Sweet Lou missed at the end (to our surprise) but Trez was there for the put-back game-winner (of course). Sweet Lou and Trez both scored 24 points each.

Clippers 121, Grizzlies 119.

The final play for the Grizz was pretty disappointing. We all knew it was going to JJJ and he got the ball too deep in the corner.

Valanchoony dropped a 30-burger.

Heat at Rockets -7 UNDER 227

No Jimmy Butler tonight made the Rockets -7 a Pure Lock. Wish we had got that one in.

Rockets 117, Heat 108.

Harden and Russ did their thang. Danuel House impressed us with 23 points, 7 of 11 from the field and 4 of 7 from three.

_____________________________________

Timberwolves +3 at Spurs UNDER 230

The difference was three-pointers: T-Wolves 18 of 40. Spurs 5 of 29.

T-Wolves 113, Spurs 101.

Winter is coming. We are sticking by it. Cause it always does.

_____________________________________

Wizards +7 at Suns OVER 240.5

The Wizards are so peculiar. Like, when was the last time a team was this efficient on offense (ranked 2nd) but this inefficient on defense (ranked 28th) ??

Wizards 140, Suns 132.

*clears throat*

THE WIZARDS GET INTO SOME HIGH SCORING AFFAIRS!!!!

Cheick Diallo was the Carl’s Jr. Player of the Game for the Suns.

_____________________________________

Lakers at Pelicans +6.5 UNDER 231.5

AD’s Revenge. A 41-piece, the most points against a former team in the first matchup, which included clutch game-clinching free throws (he missed one) and also the game-sealing steal. Ingram could not help but smile.

Lakers 114, Pelicans 110.

In the immediate post-game interview, AD talked about his friendship with Jrue. “I love him. That’s my guy. It’s a brotherhood. It’s bigger than basketball.”

We saw it up close and in person last year.

Also, Jrue was scared for his life at one point when AD chasing him down.

Thunder at Blazers -2.5 OVER 219

OVER 219 would have been the Lock of the night!

Blazers 136, Thunder 119.

We saw some Banana Boat on Banana Boat crime!

WHO HE?? Moses Brown. Blazers #4. 7-2 rookie from UCLA.

_____________________________________

Bulls at Warriors +2 UNDER 215.5

There was a Sky Bowman nickname unveiling and an Eric Paschall power dunk!

Warriors 104, Bulls 90.

This was also sideline reporter Klay’s debut! Klay was asked who the biggest trash talker is. He said, “That would have to be Money Green.” But he also said that Jordan Poole is a really big one on the bench.
