11-06-19 NBA Blog Train Wednesday: 9 Games

Knicks (1-6) at Pistons (3-5) -3.5 OVER 206

Drummond’s reaction is priceless.

Pistons 122, Knicks 102.

Tony Snell will do this, but he will also do this:

The Tony Snell Experience.

The Pistons as a team shot 15 of 30 from beyond the arc.

Wizards (2-4) at Pacers (3-4) -3 PUSH 227

Sabonis returned and the Pacers starters dominated.

The Wizards were 19 of 19 from the free throw line. That’s 100 percent. Pretty good.

Pacers 121, Wizards 106.

After beginning the season 0-3, Indiana has now won 4 out of their last 5. Perhaps the Pacers have shaken off the preseason trip to India. (It looks like the Kings might have, too.)

Warriors (2-5) at Rockets (4-3) -15.5 OVER 229

The “Feisty G League Warriors” were hanging. They even led for a little while thanks to some stellar ball from Alec Burks.

Harden got that step-back going, though.

Rockets 129, Warriors 112.

Westbrook’s hair is so much better this way. (We have talked about hair more on this blog than expected.)

Bulls (2-6) PK at Hawks (3-3) UNDER 222

Soaring in for the power dunk. (Don’t worry, the Comprehensive Power Dunk post is coming soon.)

Bulls 113, Hawks 93.

Tomas Satoransky filled up the stat sheet: 27 points, 8 assists, 7 rebounds and +17 net rating.

Trae Young was off tonight: 3 of 12 shooting and 0 for 8 from deep.

Kings (2-5) +8 at Raptors (4-2) OVER 219

This OVER was the LOCK of the night! The Kings still run and gun and are playing a lot better lately. The Raptors are susceptible to playing to the pace of their opponent and have now gone way OVER on several occasions.

Serge Ibaka power dunk, headbutt and scowl!

Raptors 124, Kings 120.

Sacramento matched the franchise record with 20 made three-pointers, tying their mark set last season against the Warriors in January. The Kings also lost by 4 points on that January 5th night.

Points in the paint: Raptors 52, Kings 32. Seven teams tonight who won the battle of points in the paint also won the game.

Timberwolves (4-2) at Grizzlies (1-5) +3.5 OVER 224.5

Dillon Brooks had himself a night with 31 points on 9 of 16 shooting and 5 of 7 made threes. The most points that D-Brooks scored in a game last season was 19. We did have the T-Wolves -3.5, thinking that Big KAT would be extra motivated after Embiid called him a PUSSY in front of the whole world. We are disappointed in KAT. He had 25 points, we needed 40 from him. But mostly our bone to pick is with Mr. Brooks.

Grizzlies 137, Timberwolves 121.

Ja Morant hype train zipping by. Ya better jump on board!

Magic (2-5) +7 at Mavericks (4-2) OVER 207.5

We knew the Magic were due, so we bit on the money line at +250.

It was soo close and Vooch had such a good look at what would have been the game-winning three in the final seconds.

Mavericks 107, Magic 106.

We don’t like to bet against Luka. It’s not personal! It’s just business, baby.

76ers (5-1) +3 at Jazz (4-3) OVER 209

Just like the Magic, the Jazz were DUE. The Jazz hit their first Over of the season! Guess where we got them in at? 210. Yup, a fucking PUSH. We tried to get in at 212 when it opened. And then at 210.5. But 210 was the official one. 210 was the PUSH.

To even get close was a miracle, really. Philly had been draining free throws alllllll fucking night. In the last minute, we said: WE NEED MISSED FREE THROWS.

Right on cue, Embiid missed. Then Don Mitch missed TWO freebies. But Josh Richardson (he must have had Over 209 and/or Sixers +3) got a turnaround jumper to barelyyyyy go with 1.6 seconds left. If you had Under 209 and Jazz -3… shooo weeee. Hang in there! That’s a bad beat!!

Jazz 106, 76ers 104.

Ben Simmons left the game with a shoulder injury and is said to have a minor shoulder sprain.

The above tweet could not be more accurate.

JoJo hit ‘em with the Dirk!

Bucks (5-2) at Clippers (5-2) +6.5 0VER 228.5

Giannis went into FREAK MODE which is apparently when he knocks down 3-balls. Look the fuck out for that.

Bledsoe thought it was checked up!

Bucks 129, Clippers 124.

Again, we tried to warn you about load management! That’s two games Kawhi has missed now in the first eight of the season. Kawhi is on pace to miss over 20 games.

The Clippers fought back, but it was not enough. (Unless you had Clippers +6.5! We had Milwaukee -1.)

The Clippers are 0-2 without their main man.

TRENDY: Vegas has definitely adjusted the O/U totals and tonight, out of 9 games, 7 hit the Over.

Just four games on the 11-07-19 NBA Thursday slate with two on TNT. We love this game!
