11-04-19 NBA Blog Train Monday: 6 Games

Pistons (3-4) at Wizards (1-4) -4 UNDER 225.5

Still no Blake, Reg or D-Rose for Detroit. -- Isaiah Thomas got the start for the Wizards!

We weren’t in on the action, but this was a game that was very much on pace to go Over, but then the scoring came to a screeching halt in the 4th quarter with just 43 combined points.

Wizards 115, Pistons 99.

Points in the paint: Wizards 48, Pistons 34. We wonder how many teams that win the battle of point in the paint also win the game. It sure seems like a lot these days.

This was NOT a 20-20 game for Drummond who got his 24 boards but only 15 points.

Pelicans (1-5) at Nets (2-4) -4 OVER 239.5

The Pellies are back on their OVER bullshit. And in a big way with 260 total points.

Nets 134, Pelicans 125.

  • Brandon Ingram caught FIRE, a career-high 40 points on 24 shots.

  • Kyrie almost matched him with 39 points on just 21 shots.

Garrett Temple had a breakaway fast break “dunk” that got thumbs downs from the Nets bench. Nets bench mob is growing, just like we said!

Rockets (3-3) -5.5 at Grizzlies (1-4) UNDER 230

No Westbrook, no problem for Houston tonight.

No JJJ for the Grizz (knee soreness) was a bummer.

Rockets 107, Grizzlies 100.

Harden step-back daggers are some of the best daggers.

Harden got to 44 points with 7 threes and 13 free throws (he missed 5). Only 6 assists for the Beard was surprising. P.J. Tucker with a 34 minute goose egg.

Three-pointers: Houston 17 of 50, Memphis 3 of 25. The Rockets doubled them up on 3-ball attempts!

Bucks (4-2) -7.5 at T-Wolves (4-1) OVER 229.5

Bucks -7.5 was the LOCK of the night! So was the OVER, but we didn’t get that one in.

Bucks 134, T-Wolves 106.

Giannis, Middleton, Bledsoe and DiVincenzo combined for 99 points.

76ers (5-0) at Suns (4-2) +1 UNDER 223.5

This was a DOUBLE LOCK! Y’all, the Phoenix Suns are legit (right now). And we squeaked the Under by a half point!

Devin Booker was COOKIN!!! 40 points on 19 shots (!!) and this power dunk:

Suns 114, 76ers 109.

Al Horford played so well (32 points on 20 shots, 5 of 8 threes) that we wondered what we did to Al Horford to deserve it. But not today, Al!

Points in the paint: Suns 48, 76ers 32. (We really need to look into this!!)

Trail Blazers (3-3) at Warriors (1-5) +12 OVER 220

This was NOT the same Warriors team from Saturday night against Charlotte.

The Blazers are NOT the same team without Zach Collins or the guys they lost this offseason. Collins shoulder surgery will sideline him for months. Portland should and will probably make a move. By gawd, is that the Rooster’s music!?

Warriors 127, Blazers 118.

HAPPY 23rd BIRTHDAY, ERIC PASCHALL!!!! Most points by a rookie this season with 34 on just 19 shots, 4 of 6 from downtown and 13 boards. Paschall was dominate.

After the harrowing start to the Chase Center, this was the glimmer of hope Warriors fans needed to keep them going after hitting rock bottom. Perhaps Golden State cannot tank without trying after all?

Six more games on Tuesday night as the Blog Train rolls on. We love this game!
