11-02-19 NBA Blog Train Saturday: 8 Games
Pelicans (1-4) at Thunder (1-4) -3 UNDER 228
Last night’s outlook: Pelicans have gone OVER in all 5 games. Thunder have gone UNDER in 4 out of 5.
With 3 minutes left in the third quarter, this game was sitting at a 72 percent chance to go Over. Then the wheels fell off in the 4th quarter: Thunder 21, Pelicans 18.
Thunder 115, Pelicans 104.
SGA continues to be sensational: 23 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists, 1 block, 1 turnover and +12 net rating.

Nets (2-3) at Pistons (2-4) +4 UNDER 222.5
Last night’s outlook: Both on the 2nd of a back-to-back. The UNDER (224) feels like a lock.
We rolled with Under 222.5 here and ohh baby was it close. For the majority of the game, the Under was looking great (Detroit scored 13 points in the second quarter), but both teams stepped on the gas in the 4th quarter with 72 combined points!
Pistons 113, Nets 109.
We hit the Under by a half point! The free throws at the end that almost sent it OT were quite nerve racking.
Yoo another Drummond 20-20 game. Big Penguin has 4 games already with 20 points and 20 rebounds!
Bruce Brown was huge for Detroit: 22 points, 7 assists, 2 rebounds, 2 steals and 0 turnovers in 40 minutes.
The Nets lost to the Pistons who were without Blake, Reggie Jackson and D-Rose. The Nets have a turnover problem.

Nuggets (3-2) -4 Push at Magic (2-3) UNDER 199.5
Last night’s outlook: This is a low one at 204.5, but Orlando has hit the UNDER in 4 out of 5 with the 5th being a PUSH.
This one closed all the way down at 199.5 and we still liked the UNDER and UNDER they went!
Nuggets 91, Magic 87.
Jokic won the Battle of the Nikolas.
Magic total points last 5 games: 178, 214, 178, 199 and 202.

Raptors (4-1) at Bucks (3-2) -6 UNDER 227
Last night’s outlook: It feels like these two have already played, but perhaps we’re just thinking about last year’s playoffs. We know Giannis hasn’t forgotten. Spicy P has been spicyyy.
Giannis said after the game that he was very motivated — we knew it!
Bucks 115, Raptors 105.
Spicy P was not as spicy tonight.
Toronto actually shot better from 3, but Milwaukee had a 20-point advantage in the paint.

Suns (3-2) -3 at Grizzlies (1-3) UNDER 221.5
Last night’s outlook: You’re not a true hipster if this isn’t your game of the night.
Suns -3 was a Lock that we tried to get in, but we didn’t make it. The Locks that we don’t get in are always the LOCKS.
Suns 114, Grizz 105.
We were feeling the Suns on this one because of the additional vets. Sometimes it’s as simple as that.
Devin Booker was super efficient with 21 points on just 13 shots, 3 for 3 from three.

Timberwolves (3-1) +2 at Wizards (1-3) OVER 228.5
Last night’s outlook: No KAT makes this one hard to read. Or does it?
No Big KAT, no problem!
T-Wolves 131, Wizards 109.
This is incredible: Brad Beal scored 30 points and had a net rating of -41!
Points in the paint: T-Wolves 56, Wizards 24.

Hornets (2-3) -6 Push at Warriors (1-3) -UNDER 221
Last night’s outlook: OVER 223 feels like a lock. And you know we love the Hornets!
Hopefully you aborted the Over once the news broke that both Draymond and D-Lo would be out. Unfortunately, we had already locked it in. Ugh.
Hornets 93, Warriors 87.
Did Devonte Graham lose his superpowers? :/ 1 for 8 from three. Dwayne Bacon had a career-high 25 points, though!
Charlotte won despite shooing 5 of 29 from three at 17.2 percent.
Warriors starting lineup was legendary: Poole, Bowman, Robinson III, Paschall, Cauley-Stein.

76ers (4-0) +1 at Blazers (3-2) -1.5 OVER 224
Last night’s outlook: UNDER 220 feels like a lock.
Hopefully you abandoned the Under here like we did when Whiteside was ruled out.
Portland led throughout, but Philly roared back in the 4th.
Ben Simmons made 2 free throws (!!) with 10 seconds left to give the Sixers a one point lead. Dame attacked the basket, collapsed the defense, and dished to Anfernee Simons in the corner who drilled a 3!
But 2.2 seconds remained and that was enough time for Furkan Korkmaz to be the hero for Philly, nailing the game-winning three off the inbounds!
76ers 129, Blazers 128.
Korkmaz was really, really happy about it in the immediate post-game interview.
Dame hit 8 of 11 threes and a few were wayyy out there. Logo Lillard.

11-03-19 NBA SUNDAY: 6 GAMES
Bulls (2-4) at Pacers (2-3) -3.5 O/U 214 — Both of these Central teams are coming off of “big” Central wins on Friday night: Chicago over Detroit and Indiana over Cleveland.
Rockets (3-2) at Heat (4-1) — No lines yet. Not sure why but either way, this should be electric.
Kings (1-5) at Knicks (1-5) -1 O/U 215 — The Knicks have hit the Under in their last 5 games and the Kings have 3 out of the last 4. Ride the trend or bet that they’re due?
Lakers (4-1) at Spurs (4-1) -1 O/U 219 — Winner takes sole possession of 1st place in the West.
Mavericks (3-2) -4.5 at Cavaliers (2-3) O/U 215 — Mavs-Cavs! Surprised Dallas is not a bigger favorite.
Jazz (4-2) at Clippers (4-2) -4.5 O/U 213 — Utah has gone Under in 5 straight games. The Jazz and Clippers played last Wednesday night (sans Kawhi) and they went Under 216.5 with 206 total points scored.
Don’t forget to set back your clocks! An extra hour to read, write, watch and think about basketball. We love this game!
