TGIF! 10 games on Friday night.

Let’s Blog Train!

Hawks at Wizards +1.5 UNDER 239

The 2016-2017 season was a very long three years ago for IT.

Wizards 111, Hawks 101.

It’s already time for your favorite segment! WHO HE?! #0 for the Hawks… Brandon Goodwin! Oh snap, Goodwin played in the league last year for the Nuggets, but he only appeared in 16 games. Tonight was BG’s ninth game this season, playing 23 minutes and scoring 14 points on 6 of 13 shooting while taking the second most shot attempts for Atlanta. That tells you all you need to know about the current state of the Hawks. It’s probably safe to say that we were at least a year too early on our preseason take of the Hawks being a young surprise team. We blame the John Collins suspension.

Pop Quiz: Where did Brandon Goodwin go to college?

We have an update from a recent WHO HE!? Anzejs Pasecniks of the Wizards. The Washington announcers pronounced it “Passa-snakes.” Quite different from the pronunciation listed on his Basketball-Reference page: “PAH-sech-neeks.”

Pelicans -4.5 at Knicks Over 226

Look out, rook!

Is Brandon Ingram an All-Star? We have gone back and forth. If he’s not, then he’s RIGHT there.

Pelicans 123, Knicks 111.

The Slenderman is probably an All-Star, averaging 25.3 points, 6.9 rebounds, 4.1 assists, 1.0 steal, 0.8 blocks and shooting 40 percent from three.

Heat at Nets +4 Over 218

Kyrie has not played since November 14th. But apparently he’s practicing in full!

Nets 117, Heat 113.

The difference was no Jimmy Butler free throw attempts in the 2nd half. Butler was 9 for 9 in the first half and then nothing.

The Nets snapped their 7-game losing streak!

Spurs at Grizzlies PK Over 231

Grayson Allen double-clutch slam?

pop-lol.jpg

Pop and Timmy’s reaction to seeing a Grayson Allen double-clutch slam.

Aldridge shot a three-pointer here. The shot clock was winding down… but still. Rudy Gay was kinda open. Aldridge has already eclipsed a career high in three-point attempts for a season, and we are not even halfway through!

Young Ja had 22 points, a career-high 14 assists and 7 rebounds. This is his fourth 20-10 game of the season. It was Go-time in the 4th.

Grizzlies 134, Spurs 121.

The Grizz announcers reiterated what we hammered home in our Grizzlies season preview: “Not in the mud.” (Well, we wrote “molasses” instead of mud, but you get the idea.)

Winter is Coming?

Pacers +1 at Bulls Over 213.5

No Brogdon and no Sabonis, still no problem for the Pesky Pacers! The Pacers bench killed it! We were wrong, okay!!! GEEZ.

LaVine dropped 43 points?! LaVine scored 20 straight at one point for Chicago?!?!

Pacers 116, Bulls 105.

Points in the paint: Pacers 70, Bulls 36.

Magic +4.5 at Suns UNDER 217.5

NOPE.

The Suns closed the game on an 8-0 run thanks to the Book 3, Book steal, Book 3.

Suns 98, Magic 94.

The spread was in play until the final seconds. Kelly Oubre missed a free throw with 6.5 seconds left, so Suns -4.5 was a bad beat.

Hornets at Jazz -12 UNDER 210.5

Jazz -12 and this Jazz Under was a nice double Pure Lock. We know our beloved Hornets very well, and this was not it.

The Jazz rolled from the jump despite Don Mitch scoring his fewest points (4) since December of his rookie season.

Jazz 109, Hornets 92.

Vivint Smart Home Arena has been, as Eric Collins put it, a “House of Horrors” for the Hornets, who have now lost 13 consecutive games in Utah. Eric Collins also told us that it’s the only arena in the NBA where the ice cream out sells the beer.

The Jazz have not lost to an Eastern Conference team yet this season.

Lakers +2.5 at Mavericks OVER 223

Round 4 already?! No more LeBron vs Luka... until maybe the playoffs!

These LeBron’s are crazy.

Kuzma got the start for AD and scored 21 points in the first half. The Lakers had a HUGE first half with 79 points.

Naturally, Luka ripped his jersey after missing two free throws.

Lakers 129, Mavs 114.

LeBron was on autopilot per Ryan Ruocco. Carlisle got ejected. With AD out and the bigs in foul trouble, Frank Vogel had the Lakers playing some small ball zone with LeBron at the 5.

The Lakers now have their fourth winning streak of at least 7 games this season.

Bucks -9.5 at Kings Over 224

We mentioned The Freak’s poor free throw shooting in the last Bucks game capsule and tonight, he was 4 of 8 from the line, only 13 points in all. It was the Bucks bench who did most of the damage.

Bucks 127, Kings 106.

The Bucks are 34-6. The best 40-game start in Milwaukee’s franchise history.

Lupe Fiasco was the halftime entertainment.

Warriors +14.5 at Clippers Under 218

Kawhi double poster power dunk! Level 3? Maybe 3.5??

Another Kawhi power dunk! Level 3? Maybe 3.5?? You see the way the rim shot back up? *whistles* Power, baby.

Clippers 109, Warriors 100.

The Clippers woke up late and got the job done in a game that was much closer than the final score indicates. The Clippers had a serious turnover problem that they were able to overcome — nineteen turnovers!

Harrell played great lock down defense on Draymond at the end that resulted in a sweet block. Without a go-to scorer, the Warriors missed D-Lo down the stretch. It’s like the Warriors are missing their main guys or something… Omari Spellman had a nice game, though!
