Chasing Pure Locks: Thursday, November 4th, 2021
After going 0-3 last night, the question is: How are we going to respond?
The answer is simple: By Chasing Pure Locks!
Pure Lock #1: 76ers -4 at Pistons
Embiid playing tonight + a Drummond Revenge Game = Locking in the Sixers tonight despite being on the second night of a back-to-back. A very nice win for Philly vs. the Bulls last night, by the way.
If you need more evidence, how about the fact that the Sixers have the #1 offense in the NBA with a 116.4 rating to Detroit’s league-worst 96.5.
And defensively? Philly is 11th. Detroit is 25th.

Pure Lock #2: Celtics at Heat -6.5
The Celtics are on the second night of a back-to-back, and while they did get a win last night in Orlando, that win was against the Magic who are, in fact, not the Miami Heat.
The Heat have been the most impressive team over the first two weeks of the season, boasting the #1 defense and a top-5 offense, and an absurd point-differential that still stands at +16.7!
The Celtics have underperformed to the point that they had to have a players only meeting not even 10 games into the season to address their dysfunction. Boston’s offense and defense are both bottom-10 right now.
And we know that Tyler Herro likes to carve up the Celtics going back to that Eastern Conference Finals in the bubble.
Heat Culture, baby!

Pure Lock #3: Thunder-Lakers Over 214.5
Listen, we know that on Tuesday night we said that we should stay away from Laker games for a while seeing as though we are currently on a 3-game Lakers losing streak, and we know that Unders are all the rage right now, cashing left and right, HOWEVER, the Lakers and Thunder played last week in a game that also did not feature LeBron James (LeBron is Out tonight and likely for the next week, dealing with an abdominal strain), and that Lakers-Thunder game had a rip-roaring pace throughout thanks to the unleashing of Russell Westbrook with LeBron out.
That game saw a Total of 238 points scored, so there is plenty of leeway here.
Overs have to come back at some point, right?
