Chasing Pure Locks: Saturday, November 13th, 2021
0-3 last night means it’s time to bounce back!
Pure Lock #1: Wizards -4 at Magic
The 8-3 Washington Wizards — currently tied for 1st in the Eastern Conference (!!) — take on the 3-9 and 14th place Orlando Magic. A spread of only 4 points makes this feel like a trap game. We obviously love trap games just like we love road favorites for some reason.
We’ll take the Wizards here on the good faith that they are at the very least a solid, well-rounded and deep team who should take care of lesser opponents.

Pure Lock #2: Grizzlies -4 at Pelicans
This feels like another trap game. We are aware of the Valanciunas Revenge Game possibility, and see that the forever Questionable Brandon Ingram might play (or he might not). But the Grizz fresh off an absolute beatdown handed to them by the Suns last night is good enough for us here.
Another road favorite, of course!

Pure Lock #3: Pistons at Raptors Under 201.5
Yes, 201.5 is a low Total, but the Pistons are currently averaging 94.9 points per game with the worst offense in the league by a country mile. Last night the Cavs held the Pistons to just 78 points, and Toronto has a similar-level defense to Cleveland.
A big quarter by the Raptors could undo this Under, but we are willing to roll the dice on the Pistons not being able to score once again.

Late tonight we’ll be back with a recap of our hopeful bounce back.
We love this game!
