03-02-20 NBA Blog Train Monday

Seven games on the Monday might menu.

The Blog Train rolls on!

Blazers +6.5 at Magic OVER 219.5

Monday started off with the ole Double Pure Lock. Blazers +6.5 and OVER 219.5 were never really in doubt. The Magic get into some high scoring affairs these days, a 180 from the beginning of the season when we were screaming the opposite from the mountaintops.

Fultz had 10 dimes on the night, none were prettier than this one.

Embarassin’! #Shaqtin

Stotts was shocked, but looking dapper.

Blazers 130, Magic 107.

Oh yes, your favorite segment is back. #23 for the Magic, Vic Law… WHO HE!? Law is a 6-7 24-year-old rookie from Northwestern and tonight was his fourth NBA game. Signed to a two-way contract on January 20th, Law has been playing in the G League for the Lakeland Magic.

Rockets at Knicks +10 OVER 231

Back-to-back Double Pure Locks. The Knicks scored 73 points in the first half and led by as many as 21!

Westbrook power dunk! Level 2.8?

R.J. Parrot was clutch in the crunch with Leon Rose in the house for the first time as the official new team president.

Knicks 125, Rockets 123.

The Knicks won in MSG against the Rockets for the first time in 9 years!

Chris Rock could not believe it.

Rebounds: Knicks 65, Rockets 34. The Rockets have been out-rebounded in 14 straight games, however, they are 10-4 during that stretch.

Jazz -10.5 at Cavaliers Over 222

This Junder was in play for a while, but a big third quarter with 66 combined points put it to bed.

Reunited and it feels SO good.

Cavs injured bench gang!

Don Mitch two-handed power dunk. Level 2.6? TBH, we just are not as big of fans of the two-handers. Also, you really need to see it in real time to give it a fair score…

Jazz 126, Cavs 113.

It’s just the Cavs, sure, but these are games that the Jazz absolutely have to have.

#81 for the Jazz, Miye Oni… WHO HE!? Pronounced, “mee-yay oh-knee” according to his Basketball-Reference page, Oni is a 6-5 rookie from Yale. Just like Vic Law from earlier, tonight was Oni’s fourth ever NBA game.

Grizzlies +2 at Hawks UNDER 240

Not even 4 minutes into the game and UNDER 240 was sitting at a 70 percent chance to hit and it never got worse than 63 percent. So, so pure.

Some people said this was a carry.. It’s a Yo-Yo!

Grizzlies 127, Hawks 88.

The Grizz only led by 3 at halftime, outscoring the Hawks 75-39 in the second half.

Bucks at Heat +5 UNDER 227.5

With the Bucks on the second night of a back-to-back, UNDER 227.5 was another Pure Lock. The Pure Locks are hitting in droves!

Brook Lopez leapt out the frame.

Heat 105, Bucks 89.

The Heat D swarmed the Freak and forced him out of his comfort zone. Giannis scored 13 points on 6 of 18 shooting, 0 of 4 from three, hauled in 15 rebounds but posted a game-worst -16 net rating. Now if only Harden and the Rockets had not lost to the Knicks tonight…

Mavericks at Bulls +7 Under 220

boban-archie-mismatch.jpg

Uhh can you spot the mismatch?

boban-licking-his-chops-lol.jpg

7-4 Boban was licking his chops with 6-3 Archie guarding him. Literally licking his chops.

DFS power dunk! Level 3.4?

Daniel Gafford poster power oop!? Level 3.5?!

Meet me at the rim and don’t be late.

Otto Porter Jr. back!!!

opj-back.jpg

OPJ’s first game back since November 6th. He was huge tonight for Chicago with 18 points in 17 minutes. Not bad for 17 weeks off. Bubba O was a big reason why we thought maybe the Bulls would be a young surprise team. It’s good to have him back.

Bulls 109, Mavs 107.

The end of this game was absolute madness. The Bulls tried their damndest to give the game away with careless turnovers underneath the Mavs’ basket. Ole Jimbo probably ripped them a new one.

Pacers -2 at Spurs Over 220.5

No Dipo and no Aldridge in this one.

Myles Turner power dunk. Level 2?

Lonnie Walker power dunk! Level 3.7?

Pacers 116, Spurs 111.

The Year That Winter Never Came?
