Chasing Pure Locks: Saturday, November 6th, 2021
Warning: Since we started this segment of 3 picks a day on Monday, we are 5-10.
Proceed with caution.
Pure Lock #1: Nikola Jokic Over 6.5 assists
Our first player prop in Chasing Pure Locks!
The Rockets, like most super young teams, are prone to miscommunication issues and breakdowns on defense.
The Joker has four games this season with 7 or more assists and four games with fewer than 7 assists.
Last season, Jokic averaged over 8 assists per game compared to 5.6 this season. That number will start to climb back up at some point — how about tonight?

Pure Lock #2: 76ers at Bulls -4
The Sixers are 7-2 and sitting atop the Eastern Conference. Let’s look a little closer at Philly’s wins:
@ Pelicans
@ Thunder
vs. Pistons
vs. Hawks
vs. Blazers
vs. Bulls
@ Pistons
Four of those wins were against the cellar dwellers of the league (Pels, Thunder and Pistons twice). Dame and the Blazers have been a hot mess. And Philly sure owed Atlanta one from the playoffs.
So the Sixers best win of the season was at home against these same Bulls who have only lost one game at home (by 1 to the Knicks) and haven’t played since that loss Wednesday night in Philly.
The Sixers are notorious for being a different and lesser version of themselves when playing on the road. Tonight will no doubt be their toughest road game of the season thus far.
Granted, giving up 4 points is more than we would like to give up here, but Vegas is probably just trying to scare us away.

Pure Lock #3: Hawks +4 at Suns
The Suns, amidst a most tumultuous week, will be without Deandre Ayton tonight. That means a lot of JaVale McGee and Frank Kaminsky.
A lot of JaVale and Kaminsky + a highly motivated Trae Young = Let’s go Hawks!

Can you believe we stayed away from the Lakers game!? Progress.
We’ll be back with a recap on these picks later on tonight.
We love this game!
