Minnesota Timberwolves
The 2019-20 Minnesota Timberwolves season can be defined by the staggering roster turnover that new president of basketball operations Gersson Rosas completed during his first season as lead executive.
What did we learn?
The T-Wolves finally landed their white whale in D’Angelo Russell, long rumored to be apple of Minnesota’s eye.
D-Lo is in Minnesota because he’s best friends with KAT, plain and simple. Rosas is on a mission to keep the T-Wolves’ shining star happy. “Pouty Towns” made some appearances this season, and Rosas surely wants to nip that in the bud.
Towns commenced the 2019-20 season looking like a potential MVP-candidate, putting up gaudy numbers before a knee injury in mid-December halted all of his momentum and forced him to miss the next 15 games. A fractured wrist in early February ultimately ended Big KAT’s season for good.
The KAT and D-Lo pairing is quite exciting — on offense. We only got to see the best buddy duo in one game together, but the thought of these two mastering the pick-and-roll and the pick-and-pop is voluptuous. The problem is that both are sub-par defenders at best and both have a tendency to be inconsistent.
Even so, we have to give props to Rosas for doing everything he can to keep his franchise player happy and with the actual franchise. We also have to applaud him for ridding the books of Andrew Wiggins $30 million a year absurdity of a contract! Sometimes you have to take your wins where you can get them.

What are the answers to our Season Preview Final Questions?
Speaking of Thibs, has the dust completely settled in Minnesota from the Failed Tom Thibodeau Timberbull Experiment and the Jimmy Butler Saga? Or do those wounds need more time to heal?
Those wounds did need more time to heal. However, the healing process was accelerated by trading Wiggins and overhauling the entire roster.

Would our preseason Over/Under prediction have hit?
The Wolves used to be one of the most exciting teams in the league, but now when we think of Unicorn Big KAT, we think mostly of a lone wolf howling into the night. Towns could use a running mate and a pack. We suspect these pups aren’t ready just yet. UNDER 35.5 wins. (43% winning pct)
2019-20 T-Wolves final record: (19-45) 30% winning percentage
YES, our preseason Over/Under prediction would have hit! This one was a Pure Lock, never in doubt.

What’s Next?
Figure out what to do with the #1 pick in the 2020 NBA Draft! We are beginning to talk ourselves into Anthony Edwards as the #1 pick for Minnesota, but rumor has it that Rosas is completely open to anything and everything.
Retain Malik Beasley who we love and feel is criminally underrated. (Update: Beasley was arrested last week, so pun unintended.)
Surround Kat and D-Lo with more defensive-minded players.
The jury is still out on 34-year-old head coach Ryan Saunders, but we love that he kept true to his preseason word that the Wolves would play fast this season. Minnesota finished with the third fastest pace in the entire league.
New ownership appears to be on the brink. So long, Glen Taylor!
Get KG involved with the franchise in any and every possible manner.
